Mr. Shetty born in Mangalore, studied and brought up in Mumbai, he completed his graduation in Commerce from Rizvi Colledge Mumbai. He is in the field of financial products distribution for last 19 years and successfully servicing 2000+ clients.
ES: Please share your vision and mission or goals in life.
Mr. Shetty: Let me start with this, as a part of my work/service to any client, I recommend the financial plan after carefully understanding individual aspiration and concern in life.
With a great track record of my services, I have developed a loyal customer base. Over a period of time, I have developed expertise & proficiency in Financial & Insurance Planning & firmly believe that I can help the clients to achieve their dreams, aspiration and mitigate their concern.
Our mission is to work with clients to achieve their financial goals with effective and smart investment planning and their risk management through insurance.
Our Vision is to become the well-wisher for our clients.
ES: What inspired you to choose the career of a financial advisor/distributor?
Mr. Shetty: I Identified there was a need for financial awareness among my near and dear and it excited me to look in this area and on getting knowledge about this field, the concept of “Power of Compounding” etc. and the and the need for insurance – all these made me foray into this business.
ES: Setting the financial advisory business takes some time. How did you handle the challenges on the financial front in the initial period of the business?
Mr. Shetty: Initially it was very tough as clients were skeptical for mutual fund investment, Since I associated with NJ in the year 2004 Met Amol Sir, Manish Sir, Razak and Dinesh they provided a lot of inputs and called me for many NJ and AMC presentations which I never missed It gave met product knowledge & Confidence, and technology NJ Tools, Partner Desk, etc.
And very important my college friends and clients helped me in getting more references
ES: How much importance do you give to Asset Allocation & Risk Profile while offering a solution to clients need?
Mr. Shetty: For Asset Allocation we ask the clients their past and current investment & explain the client with three baskets: short, mid and long term investments, while interacting with clients on regular basis we come to know above their risk profile.
For every client, we suggest short term investment through the liquid fund and medium-term investment through balance fund and long term investment through Equity Fund and map their investment to their goals
ES: What suggestion/advice you would like to give to new Partners who have yet not established themselves in the business?
Mr. Shetty: I will advise them to acquire the full knowledge of what they are suggesting the clients and take the maximum use of technology, NJ Platform and take maximum guidance from their Relation Ship Manager or Agency Manager they are the Gurus.
Meet more and more client do 10 to 20 calls on the phone every day, later set up an office, start with 2 or three staff, do delegation of work to the staff and concentrate on how to grow the business year on year
ES: Can you please share your short term and long term targets for your business.
Mr. Shetty: My near term target is SIP of 2 Cr. by March 2020 and AUM of 250 Cr. by March 2021.
